Align the screw holes on the sides or bottom of the drive with the holes in the case chassis.
After closing the case and plugging the computer back in, the drive will be physically installed, but it won't appear in "This PC" immediately. Turn on your computer. Initialize the Drive (Windows): Right-click the Start button and select Disk Management .

Type a name for your drive (e.g., "Storage" or "Games"). Check the box for Perform a quick format and click Finish.
